Hi, I’m Jason, and I started IndoorCatGear for one simple reason: choosing products for a cat is more confusing than it should be.
Search for “best litter box” or “best cat fountain” and you’ll find hundreds of options, thousands of mixed reviews, and plenty of articles that just list whatever is popular. I wanted one place that explains things plainly: what actually matters, what’s worth paying for, and what isn’t.
What we do
IndoorCatGear publishes buying guides, comparisons and practical care tips for people who share their home with indoor cats. We focus on the everyday things that make the biggest difference to a cat’s life and to yours: litter boxes, feeders, water fountains, cat trees, scratchers and toys.
How we research
For every guide, we:
- Study product specifications, materials, sizes and warranties
- Read through large numbers of verified owner reviews, paying close attention to the complaints and to how products hold up over months, not just days
- Compare products against the problems real cat owners are trying to solve, such as odor, mess, picky drinkers, multi-cat homes and small apartments
- Update our guides when better products come out or when problems show up
We will never claim to have tested a product we haven’t. When we share hands-on experience, we’ll say so clearly.
